Washington Post Laments Northern Virginia Transportation Woes

I wanted to share with you a great editorial published in the Washington Post yesterday that highlights the concerns we here in Northern Virginia face on a daily basis. Until a real transportation solution is passed by the House of Delegates, we will continue to be mired in gridlock. From Virginia's Transportation Mess:

"Imagine a business whose revenue depends largely on taxes imposed on sales of cars and gasoline -- sales that are drying up because of the recession, more efficient vehicles and alternative fuel sources. That business would be bankrupt -- which goes a long way toward explaining why Virginia's system of paying for and maintaining roads and transit has collapsed... Virginia's next governor will confront nothing as difficult, or as important, as fixing the transportation mess."

I encourage you to click the above link and read the entire editorial.
